I’m on level 50
I keep trying to get unique items
On the Summer Vacation Gala (spin for a unique item) I always use up my brownie points to get all the incredible things
I know its supposed to be random. But EVERY SINGLE TIME I spin it, it scrolls past all the excellent things and goes straight to the really dull stuff I ALREADY have tons of. Like really basic shoes, bicycle, ipod. None of the fancy outfits or plane or anything. Is it doing this on purpose? I always spin it and it goes straight to the basic items. It’s so annoying, I’m wasting my bps.

I frequently see adults bicycling in flip-flops. I can’t reckon of a worse shoe for bicycling. There’s no grip on the bottom to keep your foot on the pedal, and even if it grips, your foot could slip right out of the shoe. The flip-flop wearers usually aren’t wearing helmets either.
Wow, I hadn’t even thought about the danger of getting your toes caught in the chain.
Amanda: you bike in flip-flops if you have to be somewhere in a rush, but not if you plot to ride quick? Do you ride slowly when you’re in a rush? Hmmm….

I’m not a huge runner, maybe 3 miles once a week. I recently psyched myself up to start training for the Chicago Half Marathon. But now a lot of people are telling me running is going to mess up my knees. Is running really that terrible on your knees if you wear proper shoes? If so, why do so many people run so many marathons? Should I forget about the half marathon? I know it does fantastic things for your heart, but so does bicycling.

I have a 2003 specialized sirrus comp that is still being produced
and now costs 1200 before the extras.
i bought the bike in california and had it sent to indiana and have
place less than 10 miles on it since new.
the bike has an led light, an expensive brooks leather saddle,
a spedo, and an oir horn.
ive also got a kryptonite cable lock and a high end helmet
and shoes.
i am 52 years ancient and rode a vitas carbonfiber road bike all
over orange county california for several years before buying
this bike and becoming sedentary.—–that is another tale
my question is what to do with the bike—i have a nephew who
is in 7th grade and my brother has a road, mountain, as well
as an original cannondale but wont share his bikes with his
son making him ride an elceapo bike that cant possible be
enjoyable and probably even embarrasses him.

My first attempt must not have been specific enough, so I’m re-asking with a few more prompts. Specific garments and brand names are helpful whenever possible. Please try to answer all questions if you can.
1. How do I keep my head warm and dry while still wearing a helmet? Is it unsafe to place something on underneath my helmet? If so, can I place something on over it? My helmet is vented and has a visor.
2. Please suggest a waterproof garment for keeping my face and neck dry-ish and warm.

Last November I had surgery on my right foot. I had cracked my navicular bone in half and my doctor had to place a bolt through it. I’ve been able to walk again, yet I still have pain in my foot if I walk too much, or when I try to do activities such as playing basketball. The doctor had me buy some arch support inserts which help very much, but I don’t reckon the shoes I wear are helping any. I used to skateboard so I always buy skate shoes such as DC, Etnies and Vans, but since my injury I reckon it’s time I started to change my style of footwear to best help me out.
What type of shoes do you recommend? Keep in mind that I still want to be active and do things such as run, play basketball and ride bicycles.
Any help would be appreciated.

I just had to buy a new rear wheel for my bike and the new rim is small, flat and stout, as opposed to the original “Deep V” style rim that was on there. What is the trick on brakes to getting them to widen and still work? I have widened the space for the shoes, but now when I apply the brakes the “recoil” as I call it, isn’t there, they want to just stay in contact with the rim. Are there any websites to illustrate how to remedy this? If so please share!! Thanks!
I’m pretty sure they aren’t V-brakes, the ones that pivot from the same point over the wheel. They are I guess what they call U-brakes. Each brake attaches to the frame on each side of the wheel.
okay, they are traditional cantilever brakes on the back

I am looking for a hydration backpack that comes with enough compartment space for a change of clothes and shoes.
I am hoping to keep this under $40.
Anyone have suggestions?
